Earlier, the admission in the philosophy honors du course was solely based on merit, however from the current year, however after the launch of the National Education Policy (NEP) the students wanting to pursue BA Hons Philosophy from DU, will have to appear for an entrance exam called Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Admission to various UG courses will be on the basis of this exam. In order to apply for a BA hons philosophy course from Delhi university, 50% of the CUET score and 50% of performance score will be considered.

As per the latest CUET updates, the examination will be consisting of 4 sections:
